Supporting people in difficult life situations
Christian Foundation Safety Shelter, based in Norway, has been engaged since 1990 in supporting Polish people in difficult life situations.
Up to now generally divided into two main groups:
· Alcoholics, drug addicts, and people in poverty - through cooperation with Polish ministries. Misja Nowa Nadzieja (MNN) is our main cooperating partner. One fruit of the cooperation is a supporting centre in the city Łódź.
· Rehabilitation of visual impaired people, especially children. Main matter the last five years has been an integration project: Equal and adopted education. Polish partner has been the official school for blind children in the city Wroclaw.
Foundation manager is Åsmund Kilde.
Christian Foundation Safety Shelter is:
· An evangelical and ecumenical based foundation
· Always operating in partnership with local partners
· Paying strong attention to the development of a strong cooperating platform. Common understandings of basic values, vision and strategy have to be worked out.
· Stressing the importance of an equal partnership, common responsibility, exchange of experience and will to understand the impact of different culture tradition and history
· Depended on establishing a cooperating agreement
· Ruled by a board of four members. Foundation manager is one of the board members
· Registered in the official Norwegian Register of Business Enterprises and the official Register of Foundations.
